Creative Writer to Published Author
The Seshet Agency was born from a combination of a lifelong passion for literature with more than ten years of professional writing and project management experience. Professionalism, integrity, excellence in composition and, above all else, support for creative expression are the tenets on which the Seshet Agency is based.

Anyone can write, and many people do – certainly many more than actually end up being published. My goal is to help you convert your passion into print. The difference between the tortured writer who never sees his book on a shelf at the local bookstore and the one who proudly gives out signed copies of his newest work at Christmas is all too often as simple as the right motivation, coaching and editing by a good editor or agent. I would like to bridge that gap for you and help you succeed.

At The Seshet Agency, you will always receive personal responses to your queries (no form letters or Xeroxed notes). I will work with you one-on-one at any point in the writing process, whether you are in the conceptual or outline stage, need editing or proofreading services or require assistance with your proposal. If your manuscript or proposal is ready for submission, I will be happy to review it for possible representation. I can also become involved with a project after it is already under contract with a publisher. Queries and submissions that do not meet these guidelines will not receive a response.

We provide services to both authors and to businesses, including publishers. Our expertise crosses a wide range of industries, topics and genres, and we think you will find that we are up to most any task. Author Representation Services and Competencies:
While we are a "full service" agency in that we do provide both literary representation and editorial services, there are a few guidelines where those services are concerned. We cannot provide you with both literary representation and editorial services on book-length works, as this represents a conflict of interest. If you ask us to represent you and we agree to do so and your work requires a reasonable amount of editing, our assistance in that capacity will be regarded as part of our "cost of doing business" - you will not be charged extra for that service. Most of our "editorial" work is actually more in the line of publisher and "business to business" consulting, where we provide technical and marketing writing, web content development and editing / proofreading services. We occasionally receive requests from authors for help editing short stories, columns, editorials and other short pieces, and we are happy to review those on a case-by-case basis.

Below you will find a list of genres with which we have experience and in which we have interest. Before submitting a manuscript, please see our Submission Guidelines page (and follow the instructions therein). If you do not see your genre listed below, do not assume we are not interested. Some books are difficult to classify, and some genres have different meanings to different people. If you are uncertain as to whether or not we would be interested in your book, please send us a query letter (again, per the instructions on the Submissions Guidelines page). Publisher and Business Writing Services and Competencies:
The following services are provided using the traditional standards, methods and attention to detail demanded by the publishing industry and the corporate environment. Reasonable time is necessary to accomplish a job, but in a pinch, a very rapid turnaround time can be achieved.

Jobs can be billed by the hour, by the page, or by the project, depending on the scope of the work to be done. I am also available for long-term retainers or contracts, depending on the terms and nature of the projects.
